OSHOfest 2018

This year’s OSHOfest 2018 was six weekend across America that also included Mexico. It was a wonderful ride from start to finish. Each event built on energy of the previous one, with the last, Atlanta, exploding in a rainbow of light and color. There were literally hundreds of photos; also lots of videos. Many I shared daily on Facebook as our travels progressed. But for this sharing, I have chosen a small sampling of ones that stood out for me personally. I will also include two video clips: one of mine that showcases the Midwest weekend in Wisconsin, the other by Prem Ambika of Dallas sharing her experiences from Atlanta. Both give a nice sense of ALL the OSHOfest events. Ambika’s video will soon appear in www.oshonews.com accompanied by an article of hers. I want to thank my wonderful, talented One Sky Band and our guest musicians along the way; also the organizers and EVERYONE for making this year such a super experience.

It is always difficult to gather EVERYONE for a group shot. The Virginia event was upwards sixty participants. This is about half of us.

Our venue in Virginia is one of the most beautiful anywhere. The meditation hall is first class as seen here Thursday evening after our band set up was complete.

The meditation hall in Gran Kustal where OSHOfest Mexi-Cali happened. It's in The Baja, a few hours drive south of San Diego.

One of the many highlights in Gran Kustal was during Creativity Night when all the Mexican friends got up and sang a welcome song in their language for the rest of us. It was a touching moment, a song of love and gratitude.

One of the things I especially enjoyed this year was the meeting of old and new. In Mexico, I had many longtime friends attending such as Madhunad, seen here enjoying a Pacific Ocean sunset with me.

It's a running joke at the New York event. Every year we laugh and say to each other: "Does it get any better than this?' And then inevitably it does. This year's event was quite simply the best EVER!

Another feature this year was having so many wonderful guest facilitators and musicians every step of the way. Vasumati blessed us in New York with her presence and wonderful workshop on the theme of love.

The Midwest event is another good example of the old and new and what happens when they all comes together under one roof. Too blessed to be stressed are band members, Prabodh and Lee, with Gitam (left), Shakti (right), and... me!

One of the highlights of the Dallas event was the super-charged Sannyas Celebration on Sunday afternoon.

A novel idea from Prem Ambika shared during Creativity Night in Dallas. Participants were asked to dip their thumbs in paint and shown the technique of making a colorful heart on the white canvas. For me, it represents the Osho Dallas Community, their love and connections.

This is perhaps my most-favorite photo. It captures a moment during the Sufi Heart Meditation in Atlanta of participant, Bhairavi, whirling as seen through the lens of Anam who took many of the wonderful photos this year.

A contender for one of my most-favorite photos. I am pictured here sharing roses with Ambika and her brother, Utsav. Atlanta was the peak of OSHOfest 2018, culmination of six amazing festivals, a rainbow of light and color.
